The offering teaches us to help others, especially those less fortunate and without demanding anything in return.
All the charity is done without expecting anything in return. This charity is mainly to create a world of abundance and sustainability for the people who are a little less fortunate than us.
The offering should connect us to our giving to Lord Krishna in some way;
For example, when we provide to ISKCON programs, we support Krishna’s wish that his education can be sow throughout. The supreme Lord is atmarama, or self-satisfied. He does not need our offerings; he is entirely whole in himself.
Yet he commands us to give in charity to him. Why? Because it refines and helps us spiritually, providing in charity to Krishna is one way we recognize that everything belongs to him.
As we cannot perceive the Supreme spirit (Lord Sri Krishna) in our present condition, Krishna allows us to see Him in His Deity form made of material elements. He tells us that the Deity installed according to the directions of the scriptures is identical to Him.
Deity (archa vigraha) worship is a very important part of devotional service. It cleanses the heart of all dirty desires, purifies our vision and engages the worshiper in constant thought of how best to worship the Lord.
Those who help in the deity worship through monetary support, collect flowers, make garlands, cook for Krishna etc are all equally benefited, because for Krishna anything done for him with complete love and devotion is service and he accepts it and rewards the servitor multifariously.
Srila Prabhupada says: Decorate the Deity as nicely as possible with nice flowers and dress. You will forget all other false beauty.
(Srila Prabhupada’s Letter, 22 October 1968, Seattle)
HKM Bhilai is eager to offer this privilege to be the part of these offerings and receive the blessings of Their Lordships.
Below attached is the seva list for Sri Sri Radha Krishna Chandra at HKM Bhilai.
Let’s uphold the loving exchange relationship with the Lord of our heart, by grabbing this opportunity to render direct seva for the Lord.
This not only ensures the bhakti lata creeper to bloom extensively but also makes one’s lovable serving tendency towards the Supreme to be reciprocated with his choicest blessings!
By installing the Deity of the Lord one becomes king of the entire earth, by building a temple for the Lord one becomes ruler of the three worlds
