Offer Seva

You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you. …

Once a woman selling fruit was calling, “O inhabitants of Vrajabhumi, if you want to purchase some fruits, come here!” Upon hearing this, Krishna immediately took some grains and went to barter as if He needed some fruits. While Krishna was going to the fruit vendor very hastily, most of the grains He was holding fell. Nonetheless, the fruit vendor filled Krishna’s hands with fruits, and her fruit basket was immediately filled with jewels and gold.

Srimad Bhagavatham 10.11.11-12

“The fruit vendor, although a woman belonging to the poor aborigine class, dealt with Krishna with great affection, saying, “Krishna, You have come to me to take some fruit in exchange for grains. All the grains have fallen, but still You may take whatever You like.” Thus she filled Krishna’s palms with whatever fruits He could carry. In exchange, Krishna filled her whole basket with jewels and gold.
– Purport by Srila Prabhupada

From this incident one should learn that for anything offered to Krishna with love and affection, Krishna can reciprocate many millions of times over, both materially and spiritually. The basic principle involved is an exchange of love.

“With love and affection, one should try to give something to Krishna from one’s source of income. Then one’s life will be successful.”
– Srila Prabhupada

With your ongoing support, we hope to continue to enrich the lives of thousands of souls by sharing the culture of Bhakti. By contributing, you stand alongside an invaluable group of loyal donors who believe that the culture and practice of bhakti-yoga has something profound to offer every person from every walk of life.

Sri Sri RadhaKrishna Mandir, depends on your support for the daily worship of Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra in the temple, maintenance of the temple devotees and facilities, as well as for the many festivals and outreach events we organize every year.

Hare Krishna Movement is a non-profit, social welfare and spiritual organization engaged in propagating the teachings & values of the great ancient literature of Vedas. Our Bhilai center, which is located in Sector-6, is a dynamically expanding center. This center is tirelessly endeavoring to strengthen the ethical and spiritual fabric of society through various spiritual and educational programs. Your generous donations go towards supporting our temple.

All sacrifices are meant for achieving the Supreme Lord. Therefore, charity is for the purification of the heart. If charity is given to suitable persons as described in the Bhagavad-gita, it leads one to advanced spiritual life.

Glories of Donation :

“One should be sympathetic to the propagation of Krishna consciousness. There are many devotees who are engaged in the propagation of Krishna consciousness, and they require help. So, even if one cannot directly practice the regulated principles of bhakti-yoga, he can try to help such work. Every endeavor requires land, capital, organization, and labor. Just as, in business, one requires a place to stay, some capital to use, some labor, and some organization to expand, so the same is required in the service of Krishna. The only difference is that in materialism one works for sense gratification. The same work, however, can be performed for the satisfaction of Krishna and that is spiritual activity. If one has sufficient money, he can help in building an office or temple for propagating Krishna consciousness. Or he can help with publications. There are various fields of activity, and one should be interested in such activities.”

– Bhagavad-gita As It Is 12.10

“If one has money, it should be used to push forward the Krishna consciousness movement so that all of human society will become happy, prosperous and hopeful of being promoted back home, back to Godhead.”
– SB 8.19.41 Purport

“If anyone is charitably disposed, it will be very good for Him to give charity only to Krishna… Krishna is present as the Super soul in every living being, and if we can satisfy Him, then every living being will automatically be satisfied.”
– Srila Prabhupada’s Krishna Book, Chapter 74

All benedictions are given by the Lord. If one gives something in charity to the Lord
he can’t be a loser, only a winner a million times.”
– Srila Prabhupada’s Krishna Book, Chapter 11

“Lord Krishna while explaining the process of Deity Worship to Uddhava says that one, who offers charity so that regular worship and special festivals of the Deity may go on continually, will achieve opulence equal to Him.”
– Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.27.52

“One who builds a beautiful temple for Lord Sri Vishnu will be freed from all sinful
reactions and he will enter the Vaikuntha planets”
– Narasimha Purana

To give something to Krishna is an extremely elevated activity – whether you give some of your time to hear and chant, some of your energy, some of your money or ultimately some of your love. If we give something to Krishna we do not lose anything. In whatever way you give something to him, he will reciprocate in manifold ways. If you can therefore give something to please the Lord, it is also for your own benefit. A devotee offers everything to  Krishna – his words, his actions and his thoughts. This is, of course, an elevated platform, but Krishna declares in the
Bhagavad-gita that if you cannot do this, then give at least a part of the fruits of your activities (money) and you will gain upliftment to a spiritual platform.

In order to offer Krishna opulent worship, many things are required. Your help will be highly appreciated.

Also Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad-Gita (18.5)
yajsha-dāna- tapaḥ-karma na tyājyaḿ kāryam eva tat
yajsho dānaḿ tapaś caiva pāvanāni manīṣiṇām

Acts of sacrifice, charity and penance are not to be given up; they must be performed. Indeed, sacrifice, charity and penance purify even the great souls.

There are unlimited ways to contribute to Krishna’s temple – your time, service and most importantly financial support.

“One who offers the Deity gifts of land, markets, cities and villages (money), so that the regular daily worship and special festivals of the Deity may go on continually will achieve opulence equal to My own”.  – Srimad Bhagavatam 11.27.51

Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad-Gita (9.27)

yat karoṣi yad aśnāsi yaj juhoṣi dadāsi yat
yat tapasyasi kaunteya tat kuruṣva mad-arpaṇam

Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform — do that, O son of Kuntī, as an offering to Me.

“One should faithfully and lovingly support the installation of My Deity, and individually or in cooperation with others one should work for the construction of Krsna conscious temples and cities as well as flower gardens, fruit gardens and special areas to celebrate My pastimes.” – Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.11.34-41

“If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it.”
(Bhagavat Gita 9.26)

The purpose of this offering is to create a loving transaction. As god Krishna’s energy creates and sustains everything, so why should he beg a leaf, a fruit and a little water from us? If He eats what we offer, our life will be successful, for we will actually make friends with Krishna. The important point is that we simply have to try to learn how to love Krishna. Love begins with this give and take. Thus Krishna is teaching us how to give and take. Krishna is begging us:
“Try to love Me. Learn how to love Me. Offer something to Me.”

“Service of devotees diminishes all miserable material conditions.”
“Srimad Bhagvatam 3.7.19

Let me become a sincere servant of the devotees, because by serving them one can achieve unalloyed devotional service unto lotus feet of the Lord. The service of devotees diminishes all miserable material conditions and develops within one a deep devotional love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead Krishna.

Become greatly fortunate by offering your services to Sri Sri Radha KrishnaChandra. Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference. Making a donation to HKM Bhilai today is a first step in establishing a special relationship with the temple. Learn about the many ways you can give to Krishna and become part of our growing family of contributors.

An opportunity for you to contribute towards alankara, daily worship and various other sevas which are regularly performed to the Deities in our temple. You can choose to offer Deity sevas to Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Krishna, Sri Sri Nitai-Gauranga and receive Their blessings.

Krishna Consciousness is called nitya seva, eternal service. That means that the service you perform for Krishna is everlasting and never dies. Srila Prabhupada called this the “spiritual bank account.” Whatever goes into that spiritual bank account is never lost, even at the time of death. In material life, whatever is gained will ultimately be taken away at death, and therefore the Bhavagatam calls this material work the “hard labor for nothing” life.

Nitya Seva means selfless daily service to Lord Sri Krishna in any form. By offering Nitya Seva, one attains bliss and receives immense spiritual benefit daily in this material world. Everything that is offered to Krishna becomes  purified and those who offer their skills and resources for Krishna’s service will receive the Lord’s greatest mercy and blessings. Those who engage in devotional seva to the Lord are extremely fortunate and this same opportunity is being offered to you.

So remember that every little service performed for Krishna and the preaching movement never goes in vain. It is eternal, everlasting, and all auspicious. This is nitya seva, eternal loving service to God and it never perishes. So please let us all take advantage of the human form of life, perform nitya seva, and make our daily life sublime.

Apart from offering cash donations, devotees can also offer service to the Temple.

One can also see the increasing number of native pilgrims to the temple become hushed with awe
when they enter the temple and see the deities for the first time.
This is all the mercy of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.

The Goshala is well established with veterinary doctor, a team of medical helpers, a team of cow lovers, cleaners and cowherd men who take the calves and bulls for grazing.
The cows are provided grass, hay and fodder three times a day.

The Hare Krishna movement is meant for the purification of the heart of all people,
and as such “Prasadam Seva” is the easy way to achieve this goal.
Furthermore, to feed devotees sumptuous prasadam is an auspicious activity.

Srila Prabhupada always stressed on book distribution as it not only makes us dearest to Krishna but also serves the humanity at large by educating them about the scriptures.
More than anything else, One becomes the Messenger of the Lord.

Nitya seva literally means “constant or regular service”. The devotees who are unable to engage in
direct service to the Deities can engage themselves in Deity service by making a regular donation
every month for Deity service. Of course, this also helps them purify their wealth.
