Hare Krishna Movement : Bhilai Temple

Srila Prabhupada, the Founder Acharya of Worldwide Hare Krishna Movement recommends that we should engage ourselves in the process of Bhakti yoga in order to revive our lost relationship with Krishna. Devotees sing the mahamantra with the accompaniment of kartal and mridanga and by hearing it knowingly or unknowingly all the inauspicious things are wiped out.

Hare Krishna Satsang

Satsang is association of people who are searching for eternal truth. It is available at Hare Krishna Movement and is also arranged through the temple at homes of devotees in your neighborhood. It is effective in motivating participants to give up habits detrimental to physical and spiritual growth and cultivate devotional habits with a sense of love for Krishna which manifest itself in increased happiness and peacefulness. Congregation members and new comers to temple are encouraged to enroll for the program to start a new phase of spiritual awakening in ones life.

Tirtha Yatra

Spiritual Trips are organized to different pilgrimage places in India like Vrindavan, Puri, Mayapur etc.  It is a great opportunity to visit holy places in the association of devotees. These spiritual rejuvenating programs are conducted frequently in a year. It is believed that spirituality has made India a popular destination for spiritually inclined travelers and seekers for decades. Trips accelerate the enthusiasm in devotees, chanting, singing kirtan and staying at holy places brings about a lot of positive changes in the devotees.

Nitya Annadana

Nitya Annadana is another attraction for devotees. Specially, on Sundays Krishna prasadam is distributed to all. Food stuffs are first offered to the Lord and then the sanctified food is distributed so those who are honouring prasadam become spiritually benefited. Prasadam has the spiritual potency to gradually elevate our materially polluted consciousness towards God consciousness. Therefore prasadam distribution is an integral part of devotional service.

Spiritual Books

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is the author of more than sixty volumes of authoritative translations, commentaries and expositions of the philosophical and religious classics of the Vedic tradition.  These books are available at the book stall inside the temple premises. Gaushala

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna always gave importance for cow protection.  Simply by protection of cows all the wonderful benefits of religiosity and piety will be automatically achieved.  To ensure that the mother cow is always protected and the offerings prepared at temple are made in pure milk and ghee, a Goshala is maintained inside the temple premises. Those who are interested in Go seva could contribute to it.

Sunday Love Feast

The Founder Acharya of the Hare Krishna Movement, Srila Prabhupada started the Sunday Feast  in 1966. He would personally invite guests, cook the entire meal. He would serve the devotees a variety of tasty Indian-vegetarian preparations. Along with the vegetarian feast, Srila Prabhupada would sing the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra with the guests, dance and give a lecture on Srimad Bhagavatam and Bhagavad Gita

Since then, this weekly Sunday Love Feast Festival is celebrated in all the Hare Krishna Temples around the world. It has evolved as an integrated celebration of Lord Krishna’s pastimes: chanting, hearing spiritual knowledge, dancing, eating, fellowship and generally sharing the bliss of God’s presence. Anyone can come regardless of beliefs as we welcome all into an experience of Love.
